Aerospace 90

Capable of getting to orbit if flown correctly!

 

**I highly recommend getting the Pilot Assistant mod to fly it correctly**

 

*I also flown it w/ Ferram Aerospace Research for better flight. Also recommended*

 

*I also used the Discontinued parts mod. I also do recommend this one but even with the stock engines, it can reach orbit but not much delta-v is lost.*

An amazing hypersonic jet with speeds up to 5260 km/h!! (3268 mi/h).

This is my first SSTO I made. I realized that too much lift can make the plane go out of control and tear apart in high speeds. This is why planes such as the F-14 closes it's wings as it goes faster. This will moderate the amount of lift so it doesn't tear apart.

 

Its also capable of getting to orbit but has to be flown correctly and get the 3 recommended mods above.

To get it to orbit, you must follow these steps.

 

1. Get the 3 recommended mods

2. On Pilot Assistant, Set HDG to 90 degrees

3. Also set V-Speed to 100 m/s

4. Lastly, set speed to 400 m/s so the plane doesn't tear apart

5. Turn on all 3 autopilot functions

6. Takeoff7. Release the landing gear AS SOON AS IT TAKES OFF!

8. Keep it at 400 m/s until you reach 8 kilometers in altitude

9. Once you hit 8 kilometers, turn off Max speed option and put it to FULL THROTTLE!!

10. Wait until the speed reaches 1300 m/s or 1.3 km/s

11. When it hits 1.3 km/s, set V-Speed to 300 m/s

12. Wait until the turbojets run out of intake-air

13. As soon as the turbojets flame out, activate the liquid fuel engines by hitting the spacebar IMMEDIETLY!

14. Set Pitch angle to 25 degrees

15. When the liquid fuel engines run out of fuel, activate the monopropellant engines until the apoapsis reaches 70.5 km

16. Once it hits 70.5 km, accelerate until you are in a stable orbit with both apoapsis and periapsis above 70 km.

17. If you run out of fuel early, try and try again.
