ISEE-3 Space Probe

Introduction

This is a re-creation of the ISEE-3 space probe using stock parts from Kerbal Space Program.

The KSP version of ISEE-3 features gravity and temperature sensors.

The probe is ready for attachment to the rocket of your choice.

Installation

Place ISEE-3.craft into the /ships/VAB folder of of your save game (KSP/Saves/SaveName/ships/VAB), or under the main KSP/ships/VAB folder.

Controlling the probe:

1 – Toggle all antennas extend/retract

2 – Toggle gravity and temperature display

3 – Log gravity and temperature

How to use

Once you have loaded ISEE-3, attach the rocket of your choice for launch.

After all stages have been used, detach ISEE-3 from the final stage using the included decoupler.

ISEE-3 is controlled using RCS thrusters.

For more realistic control (and a real challenge!),disable reaction wheels on the Inline Reaction Wheel and RC001S Remote Guidance Unit, and control with RCS thrusters only! The ISEE-3 will need to be "spun up" in order to fully control. See the ISEE-3 Reboot Project for information on how the original propulsion system worked.
