Stock Rocket SSTO – 40T Payload To Orbit & Fully Recovery

Big one is Type B, used as a cargo ship, it can take at least 40t payload to 100km orbit.
Smaller one is Type A, half the weight of Type B, mainly as a manned ship, but you can also mod it to a cargo ship yourself.

 

I built a lot of plane SSTO before, but finally made two Rocket SSTOs. They are quicker into Orbit and easier to use, especially if you add MechJeb on the vessel.

 

Instructions:

 

Launch it!!!
Turn about 10 degrees at once and maintain a small AoA.
Begin to reduce the throttle at about 15000~20000m.
…… and successful into orbit.

 

Leave about 2000~3000 and 1000~2000 liquid fuel for Type B and A for your return trip. Fully use atmosphere to brake and don't worry about overheat. Open your parachute and fire your rocket again to reduce the speed under 9m/s when touch down.

 

Known issue:

 

The type A WAS 100% safe, but from KSP1.3 it explode every time you launch it. (I don't know why) Just click return to launch and it should be fine in the second launch.
